Air Intake Pre-Spinner
The 4.0 L V6 Petrol Prado engine draws its air through a
cyclonic pre-spinner inside the intake duct. The pre-spinner is
designed to spin heavier particles from the intake air stream and
deposit them inside the rubber one way valve at the bottom of the
duct.
Periodically, the rubber one way valve needs to be emptied of
trapped particles.
Depress the rubber valve flaps as shown above. This will
release trapped deposits (dirt particles above).
